How to Play Yumbee

Inspired by the folk game Jamb, Yumbee is a digital game of strategy, risk, and math.

A Game of Skill

Kafana atmosphere

"Jamb je bio viőe od igre u bivőoj Jugoslaviji, bio je ritual. Zvuk kockica se čuo u svakoj kafani őirom Balkana."

Your Goal: Roll dice to fill every empty box on the grid and get the highest total score!

The Catch: You can't just put points anywhere. You have to follow the unique rules of each column.

1. Regular Scoring

The basics. Score ones through sixes, and use Max/Min to boost your score.

1

πŸ”’ Upper Section

The top six rows (Ones through Sixes) form the Upper Section. Score 60+ in any column to earn a 30 point bonus!
2

⚑ Max, Min & Difference

Max is the highest sum you've been able to roll and Min is the lowest. Your Difference Score is (Max - Min) Γ— your Ones. Go for the largest difference you can!

2. Special Hands

Similar to poker, these combinations award big points.

1

🎯 Trilling (3x)

Three matching dice! Your score is the sum of the three dice + 20 bonus. A solid way to rack up points.
2

πŸ”’ Straight

1-2-3-4-5 or 2-3-4-5-6. A straight always earns a flat score, but achieving it in fewer turns gives a higher score!
3

🏠 Full House

Three of one kind + two of another (e.g. 3-3-3-2-2 or 6-6-6-1-1). Your score is the sum of all dice + 30 bonus!
4

πŸƒ Poker (4x)

Four matching dice! Your score is the sum of the four dice + 40 bonus. Getting close to Yumbee territory!
5

🎲 Yumbee!

The ultimate roll, five matching dice! Your score is the sum of all dice + a huge 50 bonus. Plus bragging rights!

3. The Columns

Unlike dice games like Yahtzee, you can't just score anywhere. Each column has rules on WHEN you can fill it.

1

⬇️ Down Column

Fill boxes from top to bottom. Start with Ones, then Twos, and so on. You can't skip ahead!
2

⬆️ Up Column

The opposite. Fill from bottom to top, starting with Yumbee and working your way up to Ones.
3

πŸ†“ Free Column

No rules here! Fill any box whenever you want. Great for saving a bad roll.
4

πŸ“’ Call Column

To fill this column, you must announce a specific target box after seeing your first roll. Make sure to hit it!
